There's so much to say about this song...
First of all, thank you to all of my subscribers and to my listeners for your support and also for your patience. It's been WAY too long since I last posted a video.
For those of you who do not know what project Dream is. It was a game in development by Rareware way back in the 90s and it evolved and changed directions many times. This eventually paved the way for the team that was working on it to create Banjo Kazooie. The game was originally supposed to be a pirate adventure RPG focusing on the main character Edson. Not much else is known about this never finished game.
This is the main theme of Project Dream which was originally composed by the legendary Grant Kirkhope. This theme eventually made it into Viva Pinata as a song called Oven Fresh Day so some of you might recognize this tune from that game. My arrangement is meant to pay homage to the Project Dream version.
I've been listening to the music that Grant Kirkhope composed for this game for a couple of years now. Ever since about 2013-2014 when I discovered his website. That's how I learned about Project Dream in the first place. Since my first listen through what would have been the soundtrack to Dream, I have felt very attached to this song. It makes me wonder how amazing this game would have been had the team at Rare been able to move forward with their original ideas. If it had turned out half as good as the music that Grant wrote for it then we would have had one heck of an amazing game. BUT we did get Banjo Kazooie as a result so I'm not complaining!
